Privacy policy

What we collect, why, and your rights.

Who we are

Solicitors Coventry is published by iNet Limited, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 09509910. iNet Limited is responsible for personal information collected through this site. For any question or request about your personal information, email hello@wiselocal.co.uk.

What we collect

  • If you just browse: we do not ask for any personal information. We count visits with Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that we run on our own server, so no outside analytics company receives the data. It records which pages are visited, which site you came from, your browser and device type, your country, and when someone uses a firm’s call, website or email button. It does not use cookies and is designed not to identify individual visitors.
  • If you contact a firm: you contact the firm directly by phone, email or on its website. We do not see or keep your enquiry.
  • If you use our contact, claim or suggest-an-update forms: we collect the details you give us, such as your name, email address and message, to deal with your request. If you claim a listing, we email a confirmation link to the address you gave, then email you whether your claim was approved.
  • To keep the forms free of spam: Cloudflare Turnstile checks that the person sending a form is a human, not a bot. It looks at technical information such as your browser and IP address. Cloudflare says it doesn’t use cookies to track you or use this for advertising; see Cloudflare’s Turnstile privacy addendum. We also keep a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address for up to a day, to limit how often one connection can send a form.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We use form details only to reply to you and act on your request (legitimate interests). We don’t sell your information or use it for marketing.

Who else handles it

We use a few companies to run the site. They handle your information on our behalf, only to provide their service to us:

  • Cloudflare hosts the site, runs the forms and stores form messages and claims in its database. It also runs Turnstile.
  • MailerSend sends our automatic emails, such as alerts and claim confirmation links.
  • MXroute provides the mailbox where we receive and answer email.

How long we keep it

  • Contact and suggest-an-update messages: we delete them 12 months after we have dealt with them.
  • Claims: we keep the record of who claimed a listing for as long as the listing stays claimed, and for 12 months after that, so we can show who confirmed the firm’s details. A claim that is never confirmed is deleted after 30 days; a rejected claim is deleted 12 months after our decision.
  • Analytics: the figures are anonymous totals, not records about you.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
