The order you see
- Lists rotate. Firms are kept in A–Z order, but each visit starts the list at a different law firm, chosen at random. Firms near the end of the alphabet get the same chance to be seen at the top as firms near the start.
- Why we do this. Most people look at the first few firms in a list and choose from those. A plain A–Z list would always favour firms whose names start early in the alphabet. Rotating gives every firm an equal turn.
- Your list stays put during your visit. If you open a firm’s page and come back, you’ll find the list in the same order.
- You can sort the list A–Z. Press the Sort A–Z button above the list to start it from A. The button then changes to Rotating order; press it to go back to the rotating list.
- It is not a judgement of quality. Where a firm appears says nothing about how good it is.
- We don’t use “recommended” or “top 10”. We don’t rate solicitors, and we don’t publish reviews.
- Filters only narrow the list. Choosing an area of law or a postcode removes firms that don’t match; it never reorders the rest.
“Similar firms”
On each firm’s page we show up to four other Coventry firms that report the most of the same areas of law, with firms in the same postcode area first. No firm pays to appear there.
Paid placement
Listing is free. If we ever offer paid placement, it will appear in a separate block clearly labelled “Featured”, above the normal list, with at most three firms. A Featured firm still appears in its normal place in the main list. Paying never changes the main list. See our advertising disclosure.
