Information, not advice
Our guides explain how things generally work in England and Wales and point you to official sources. They are not legal advice. For advice about your situation, speak to a solicitor.
Who writes and checks our content
Content is drafted by the Solicitors Coventry editorial team and checked by a person before it is published. Each guide shows when it was last reviewed. Pages about legal aid, court fees, divorce and regulation are reviewed at least once a year, and sooner if the rules change.
Sources
We rely on primary sources: the SRA, GOV.UK, HM Courts & Tribunals Service, the Legal Aid Agency and the organisations we describe. We link to them so you can check for yourself.
Law firm descriptions
We write firm descriptions in our own words from the firm’s own website. We never copy a firm’s marketing text word for word, and we never describe a firm as “the best” or “recommended”.
Corrections
If something is wrong, tell us or use Suggest an update on a firm’s page. We correct factual errors promptly.
